2014

I think this post will mostly end up being pictures. This is just my weak attempt at recapping our year and saving some awesome pics of my peeps.
Our year centered around Palmer and getting ready for Brock to join our family. We also got licensed to do foster care. We had a very cute 13 year old girl live with us for a little over five months. It was a challenge and a great experience. We plan to stay licensed, but we don't intend to take in any foster kids for a little while since we're adjusting to being a family of four.
This was at our annual Lyman family trip. My parents rented a huge awesome house at Bear Lake in March and we all had a blast!

Mexico!

4th of July cuties :). This was the second year in a row that Noelle and I got the same clothes for our girls on the 4th without planning it.
Palmer's third birthday. This girl LOVES balloons and would have been fine if that was her only present.
Palmer loves mud and puddles. We couldn't say no to her playing in the gutter river on this rainy day.

Palmer doesn't love the pool, but I'm hoping this next summer will be more fun for her. She's a timid careful soul.
Palmer and Vanessa don't see each other often but they sure do love it when they do!
This girl LOVES her grandparents! When she gets up in the morning she usually tries to put on some shoes and sneak out the door to go to my parents' house before we can catch her.
Telluride in September
The day we were supposed to have our lawn seeded it POURED crazy rain for like four days straight leading up to it and after. We still seeded and the grass didn't come in so great. Hopefully we can get it to fill in this spring.
Taylor did the Dirty Dash again this year with a bunch of my family. I opted out since I was large and in charge. Palmer and I watched the start and finish of the race and hung out with Nicole and her girls in between :)
Zoo with all the Perkins (Taylor's mom's side of fam) crew in August.

We went golfing with Taylor a few times this summer. Palmer loved it. I liked hanging in the cart and eating snacks.

I made this quilt!

This girl really knows how to accessorize.

The one and only time we've mowed our crappy lawn. The grass in front is quite a bit better than this.

Brock will get his own post soon.

Thanksgiving with my family is more about the desserts than anything else :)

Christmas was tons of fun with this munchkin this year.

Palmer these days

Palmer is the funnest and funniest human right now. She's also the most stubborn and emotionally unstable person I know but we'll leave that for another day.
Instead of saying "each other" Palmer says, "each uggers."
She loves making up songs about anything and everything. She sings her way through life and her songs are usually kind of nonsense, but way cute.
She loves playing pretend with her animals and dolls. She's obsessed with stuffed animals still and has a million of them. She has started making up stories about them and their families and lives and such. I love it so much.
This girl is already obsessed with her brother. She can't keep her hands off his face and just loves to love on him and try to make him happy.
As I mentioned in my last post she LOVES her grandparents! She loves the attention they give her and loves to snuggle with them and give them hugs.
Palmer is social social. She loves people and loves to talk to anyone who talks to her. If anyone comes to my house (my parents, siblings, friends etc) she always wants to leave with them.
We started doing a trade-around preschool with some friends of mine. We take turns hosting at each of our houses. It's Palmer, Bryir, Piper, Bodie, Stetson and Jag. Cute fun kids.  We started that last fall. As of the beginning of this month she also started a formal preschool two days a week. She's loving it.
She also started taking ballet a couple months ago. Cutest thing I've ever seen.
This girl has her dad wrapped around her finger, but she can also try his patience more than any other human. They're great buds and they love to go bowling together and go get treats. She loves to tease her dad.
She loves to play dress up or just accessorize her outfits with scarves, hats and jewelry.
She loves to build with blocks.

This girl loves treats just like her mama.

This was on her birthday. She always tells me that her favorite thing about birthdays is the balloons.

Preschool kids at Halloween. Palmer decided months before that she wanted to be a green dinosaur.

Loving on brother boy.

Finally got some snow for her much awaited snow angel.

She did "mini cheer" this week and performed a little dance and cheer at halftime of the high school basketball game. She lives in her own world and didn't really remember to perform a lot of it but she was still dang cute and had fun. Here she is with cute cousin Livvy, who also did mini cheer.
